When it comes to fragrances, I always prefer to have more in the collection. But after collecting a certain number, I felt I have had enough. So I started digging into the ones that comparatively last longer and spread more. Also, the budget has always been on my mind while looking for a wearable fragrance. Now, this might not be a big problem for those who collect, but budget is an important factor to consider for those who like to have few but “good enough” perfumes.
The main problem I faced to meet budget and performance together was, not having many options. It’s a very simple rule. Good Ingredients are expensive, good ingredients perform better on the skin. So definitely good perfumes are going to be expensive. There was a time when I used CK one or Charlie perfume in my teenage years. But as I grew up, I tend to believe raising a little budget can always bring you good quality and better performance. My suggestion is always to invest in something that you don’t regret later. This article is based on my recent favourite brand Al Haramain Perfumes. The brand originated in Dubai so earlier they developed many occidental fragrances. However, in recent years, they have come up with many oriental choices for both men and women.

1. L’aventure 100 ml Eau De Parfum : AED 124
This fragrance was launched in 2016 and was originally developed for men. Like many other great perfumes, L’aventure also belongs to the citrusy cologne genre. It has very attractive top notes with rich Lemon & Bergamot. Surprisingly the citrus turns into a woody vibe but the freshness stays all the way because of patchouli and musk in the base note. The price point is quite meeting a medium budget considering the longevity and projection. I have seen L’aventure to stay over 10-12 hours.
2. Sheikh 85 ml Eau De Parfum : AED 72
Another men’s collection by Al Haramain Perfume. This Belongs to the strong fresh category. Rosemary and apple being in the top note make it irresistible in the beginning. The magic note in this perfume is Mint and freesia. I found this perfume to be really attractive with formal attires on men. Considering the performance of sheikh, the price point is really low. To get the best performance out of it, you got to use 4 to 6 spritz on your clothes. But trust me when I say that the fragrance will make you turn some eyes the whole day.
3. Urbanist femme 100 ml Eau De Parfum : AED 67
One of the low-cost ones but one of the best feminine fragrances by Al Haramain is Urbanist femme. Comes in a beautiful hard box and a Lavender bottle. The fragrance hits you to be fruity on the first sniff. I personally like strong fragrances for women and in a budget below AED 100, it is really hard to find strong sophisticated fragrances. The top note portrays pineapple and lemon. Later it transforms to a floral accord for the lasting hours. It usually lasts at least 8 hours depending on the body temperature. Can you imagine? Such a great performance for 20 dollars only. The best part about Urbanist is, it is a very safe choice for all ages of people. Can definitely be in your basket.
4. Signature Silver 100 ml Eau De Parfum : AED 53
Signature Silver comes from the series of 4 perfumes created by them. Now I have put this one specifically on the list because of its longevity. Usually perfumes last based on the strong citruses in the top note. But this one is different. Its composition is in the earthy category. Spices like rosemary and artemisia are on the top note but when it breaks down I always cherish the cedar and a hint of tobacco in it. It really brings out the masculinity in you. For such a small budget, this one is a must-have.
5. Detour Noir 100 ml Eau De Parfum : AED 70
The Best unisex perfume developed ever by a middle eastern company is the Detour Noir. This one kind of resembles many expensive brands’ perfumes because of rich spicy notes like pepper and cardamom. With sandalwood and lavender being present in the notes, Detour noir is surprisingly calm.
